Overview

You can query the audit data and also generate reports from its contents. To create system-generated or customized reports for internal OpenEdge events, you can use the reports provided by OpenEdge; for more information, see the "Reporting on audit data with prefiltered and custom reports" section.

You can also create audit data reports by using your own general-purpose report-generation tool. If you do choose to create your own reports, an understanding of the audit data schema is necessary.

Note: The contents of this chapter assume some knowledge of the new OpenEdge Release 10.1A auditing architecture and functionality described earlier in this document.
